Hi. I’m Mike Fischer.

I make lovely digital things.

I am a 30 year old digital craftsman from Chicago, Illinois. I live in Bern, Switzerland.

I am a self-taught fullstack developer, with extensive frontend experience.

I studied graphic design at the University of Illinois at Chicago. I studied abroad at the Hochschule Luzern für Design und Kunst, where I met my wife.

I have worked with people like REEA, Airatel, UFirst Group, and Maxomedia.

I have made work for companies like UBS, SBB, BioSuisse, and EWB.

I like to work with tools like Wordpress, Node.js, Angular.js, Digital Ocean, Photoshop and Illustrator.

I like to build my own tools. But I also like to ship things.

I cha Schwiizerdüütsch ziimli guet redä, und Hochdeutsch auch schreiben; yo hablo un pequito Español, and my mother tongue is English.

When I’m not hacking – I’m usually either exploring the Swiss Alps, or playing loud music.
