Some things I'm proud of:

DingDong App

Role

Project Manager

Engineering Lead

Interaction Director

Description

Shopping is lots of fun, but bringing your goods home is not. Rikscha’s service DingDong fills this gap. The app allows users to quickly order a delivery for their goods, along with a subscription, and pay for the desired service. The app was built with React Native, and talks to a backend built with Firebase.

Responsibilities

Project Management

App Development

Backend Architecture Design / Implementation

DingDong Admin

Role

Project Manager

Engineering Lead

Interaction Director

Description

As a companion to the DingDong app, an interface for customer service was needed to complete orders for people without cell phones. The entirety of the apps’ process is reproduced – this time in a React webapp – but now with the ability to search for customers. Accounting features were later added for the Rikscha backoffice.

Responsibilities

Project Management

App Development

Backend Architecture Design / Implementation

Rikscha Ingest

Role

Project Manager

Engineering Lead

Interaction Director

Description

Bern loves red geraniums so much, it hosts a yearly market on the Bundesplatz in celebration. With Rikscha providing the home delivery services, we needed a solution to quickly process orders. Both users and service staff alike can input order contents and delivery addresses. After doing so, corresponding order stickers get printed out, along with a receipt.

Responsibilities

Project Management

Webapp Development

Backend Architecture Design / Implementation

Hardware Engineering

HYLL

Role

Engineering Lead

Chief Happiness Officer

Description

Are you doing anything fun this weekend? HYLL is the premier leisure activity platform, taking cues from Spotify, Tiktok and Tinder. To make this experience seamless requires an immense amount of coordination for the app, its' UI/UX, the backend, its' data science, and the content – for all of which, both in the present and future, I was responsible.

Responsibilities

Planning and leadership of features and their architecture

Management of priorities, milestones, and deliveries

Filling in the gaps in engineering

Team morale & culture

NEEO PRO

Role

Product Owner

Design Lead

Description

Leading a team of multi-disciplinary engineers, we built the next generation of the NEEO Remote. Designed to break into the more lucrative ‘integrator’ market, it was mothballed when the home automation giant Control4 purchased the budding startup.

Responsibilities

Management of priorities, milestones, and deliveries

Interface design

Node.js & interface development

UBS Hololens Financial Planner

Roles

Project Manager

Engineering Lead

Description

A financial planner I built in collaboration with visual artist Nihad Nasupovic. The experience ran on the Microsoft Hololens, via an extension of Unity that he developed. Meanwhile, I wrote the script that sent the financial data to the server that I also wrote, that combined the input from two succinct interfaces that I also created; and later produced PDFs. After coordinating many rounds of client testing and feedback, the project culminated in a 3 day event at UBS Headquarters in London, where it was demoed to all workers, to potential customers, and to the board of UBS Innovation.

Responsibilities

Project management

Client communication

Development of all data processing software

Hardware coordination

Lindt Game of Chance

Role

Technical Coordinator

Engineering Lead

Description

Working together with Intensiv GMBH, I built a game of chance for a 3 day promotional event at the Zürich Main Train Station. It attracted a large swath of players, and helped market the underlying Lindt Sensation Fruit chocolate candies.

Responsibilities

Hardware coordination

Hardware programming

Software development

Adaptation of design

Everything else

Addtionally,
I occasionally write things,
and tweet things.
